What a beautiful place and lovely people! We went on a trip from SA through Zimbabwe to Zambia and Botswana and back to SA. We stayed one night at the beginning of our trip and decided immediately that we would come back on our way back and so we did. The campsite is beautifully situated against the mountain and all is very natural and peaceful. All you hear is the mooooh of cow now and then! Fantastic hot open air showers and great views! The owners really made us feel at home and helped us with all sorts of tips for other places to go, but also with my stiff neck! So welcoming and hospitable! It is situated perfectly, just a few hours drive from Johannesburg and also just a few hours to the borders of Zimbabwe and Botswana. We would recommend it to anybody who loves nature and a peaceful surrounding. We will definitely go back on our next trip!

Thank you Deon and Ankie for a fantastic weekend! Josef, your hospitality and friendly nature made us feel very welcome, thank you for your concern about our wellbeing – at all times.. The hiking trails are very well designed and everybody could choose circular routes according to their individual fitness levels. Our kids had a wonderful time in the dam and had just as much fun cycling on all the farm roads… Thabapaswa is a true hidden treasure in the Bushveld and we can highly recommend it as a preferred destination. We can’t wait to return to explore more!
Hi there Check out this great camping destination in the Limpopo… amazing scenery. We camped there over Christmas… nice level and spacious camping grounds. I am in a wheelchair and loved the camp site and cement pathway to the braai area. Deon - the owner, is in process of getting the camping facility wheelchair friendly… it is not fully accessible yet but will be fine for somebody who has help or who is very mobile in a wheelchair (I had assistance from kind family members and friends J). He is also in process of getting one of the other accommodation facilities wheelchair friendly. Thabapaswa is beautiful… a real gem. Pictures on the website will give you a better idea of how beautiful it is.. I also attached some pics to show you what the camp site looks like..
